BMI Calculator (“the app”) calculates body mass index for adults and BMI-for-age percentiles for children and teens aged 2–19, together with body fat, ideal weight, calorie, macro, water and waist-ratio tools, a goal planner and a weight history. This policy explains what the app does with the information you enter.
Everything you enter — height, weight, age or date of birth, sex, name, waist, neck and hip measurements, goal weight and your weight history — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded by the app. The developer has no access to it. You can delete history entries in the app, and exporting your history as a CSV file happens only when you choose to share it, to a destination you pick.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the app’s stored data in that backup. You can turn backup off in Android settings.
Advertising. The app shows banner and full-screen ads from Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner. To select and measure ads, these providers may collect your device’s advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location it implies, and device, app and ad-interaction information. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where it is required, the app asks for your choice through Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and you can change it at any time from Ad privacy options in the app, which appears where it is required.

Analytics. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to see which features are used. Events record which calculators and screens are used, the unit system, and the BMI category of a result (for example “healthy” or “overweight”; for the child and teen calculator, the child weight category and whether age came from a birth date or a number of years). Events never contain a height, weight, age, date of birth, name or BMI value. Firebase also records some information automatically: an app-instance identifier, the device model, the operating-system and app versions, the app language, and an approximate country derived from your IP address, along with standard events such as the first open and the start of a session. You can turn analytics off at any time with Share anonymous usage data under More → Privacy; this does not turn off crash reporting.
Crash reporting. Firebase Crashlytics receives a report when the app crashes: the error and stack trace, the device model, the operating-system and app versions, and an installation identifier.
Reminders and messaging. Daily weigh-in reminders are optional, scheduled on your device, and request notification permission only when you switch them on. The app also includes Firebase Cloud Messaging, which may register a messaging token for the installation, but the app does not currently subscribe you to any announcements.
Results are estimates for general information and are not a medical diagnosis. The only health-related value that leaves your device is the BMI category in analytics, described above, which is not linked to your name or measurements.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Measurements entered in the child and teen calculator stay on the device; only the resulting weight category is sent to analytics, as described above, and it can be switched off.
