Petrol Price in Pakistan (“the app”) shows current petrol, diesel and CNG prices in Pakistan with a price archive, fuel-average and trip-cost calculators, vehicle profiles, a fill-up log, backup and restore, and a home screen widget. This policy explains what the app does with data.
Your vehicles (name, fuel type, average and tank size), fill-up log (date, litres, amount and odometer reading), saved calculations and settings are stored only on your device and are never uploaded by the app. The home screen widget shows prices the app has already downloaded and makes no network requests of its own.
Backup and restore is entirely in your hands: exporting creates a file and opens the share sheet so you choose where it goes, and importing reads a file you pick.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the app’s stored data in that backup. You can turn backup off in Android settings.
Fuel prices. The app downloads prices from our Google Cloud Firestore
database and the price archive from petrol-price-in-pakistan.web.app. These are
read-only requests: nothing about you, your vehicles or your log is sent, beyond the IP
address and technical information that any internet request carries.
Advertising. The app shows banner and full-screen ads from Google AdMob, with Meta Audience Network as a mediation partner. To select and measure ads, these providers may collect your device’s advertising ID, your IP address and the approximate location it implies, and device, app and ad-interaction information. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other regions where it is required, the app asks for your choice through Google’s User Messaging Platform before any ad is requested, and you can change it at any time from Ad privacy options in the app, which appears where it is required.

Analytics. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to see which features are used. Events record which screens and tools are used, whether prices came from the network or the cache, the fuel type in a calculation, whether a backup succeeded, and the number of saved vehicles and fill-ups. Events never contain a vehicle name, distance, litres, amount, odometer reading or price you entered. Firebase also records some information automatically: an app-instance identifier, the device model, the operating-system and app versions, the app language, and an approximate country derived from your IP address, along with standard events such as the first open and the start of a session.
Crash reporting. Firebase Crashlytics receives a report when the app crashes: the error and stack trace, the device model, the operating-system and app versions, and an installation identifier.
Notifications. The app can receive occasional announcements through Firebase
Cloud Messaging. Price alerts are off until you turn them on in Settings, which is the only time the app asks for notification permission. If you allow notifications, the app subscribes this installation to a
general topic (price_alerts), and messages go to everyone subscribed to it — the
app does not target individual devices. Firebase may register a messaging token for the
installation; the token identifies the installation, not you. Turning price alerts off in Settings unsubscribes the installation.
Ratings. The app may occasionally ask Google Play to show its in-app review prompt. Google decides whether to show it, and any rating you give is handled by Google Play.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address with a new effective date.
